All Saints' Chapel

Restoration

BIGGEST RESTORATION PROJECT IN THE CHAPEL
IN MANY, MANY YEARS!!
First Service in the Newly Renovated Chapel
Commenced with the Lenten Lunch
offered Thursday March 8, 2001 our Chapel Restoration has been completed! The Chapel has been refreshed!

  • Statue of St. Mary
  • New Carpeting
  • Fresh Paint All Around
  • Pews have been refinished
  • Woodwork has been refinished
  •   This project included repairing and refinishing pews, replacing carpet, repairing water damage on the walls, plaster patch work, and repainting.  All of this work was being funded by a bequest to the All Saints’ Memorial Fund from the estate of a parishioner, in addition to the “Chapel Fund” which has been set up for the past few years.
Further work has being done on external repairs such as wood damage, window frames, repairing and refinishing the large front doors, and drainage problems surrounding the Chapel foundation.
Our “Old Church” is a treasure which is not only full of personal meaning and wonderful memories, but also is a vital part of All Saints’ current life and program.  The Chapel is used in many different ways almost every day of the week, and deserves no less than the very best we can give to it.  The Memorials Committee, chaired by Melissa Oakes,  planned this work and  oversaw the project.  We are excited about this work, and hope you are too!
Members of the Memorial Committee:  Melissa Oakes, Chair, Duncan Baird, Katie Ruth Bush, Bob Dale, Shannon Johnston, Pete Poland, Jr., Thom Saunders, Yvette Slocum, Doris Streit, and Hazel Walker.
