EYC Mission Statement

To learn about and accept Christ as our Lord and Savior and to invite other individuals into our hearts. To share new experiences that will open our minds and hearts for our futures as Christians. To run around chairs, fit into squares, and have a welcoming spirit for anyone who enters our community. In Christ’s Name we play.

EYC Visits Atlanta - Summer 2008

Notes From Ann Marie

Greetings All Saints' EYCers and parents!

Thanks to our Vestry and the savvy shopping skills of Mary Howard King, the EYC room is now home to a wonderful, homey set of comfortable furniture. This project has been in the works since the building construction’s completion, and we’re so grateful to have such a wonderful space to be together. Thank you All Saints’!

The EYC will be taking its annual fall outreach trip November 20-24. This year, we’ll be traveling to Sewanee, TN for a weekend in God’s beautiful creation. We’re especially excited because we’ve never taken a trip of this kind before as a group, and we hope that the beauty surrounding us and the physical challenges we meet on the Mountain will bring us closer than ever before to God and each other. We’ll be hosted by the “Fire on the Mountain” EYC group there and will get the opportunity to do some hiking, rappelling, and spelunking! The deadline for commitment to this trip (by turning in permission slips) is Wednesday, November 11. Forms will be distributed in the mail, and can also be found HERE.

Ann Marie's Instructions for feeding the EYC:

Thank you for helping to feed Sr. EYC!  EYC meets each Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in the EYC room (behind the old chapel at All Saints).   Once dinner has been served, you are welcome to leave, or you may stay for the program.  We have an oven, stove, microwave, sink, refrigerator, and freezer in our EYC room, as well as some minimal kitchen supplies (spoons, towels, dish soap.

IF YOU ARE USING THE OVEN or THE STOVE,

PLEASE MAKE CERTAIN THAT YOU TURN IT OFF.

In planning your meal, please plan for approximately 20-25 people and include drinks and dessert.  Paper plates, cups, napkins, and plastic utensils are provided (and can be found in the storage room in the All Saints’ EYC room).  Please have dinner ready to be served at 5:30 p.m. as the youth eat first before beginning their program.  They will assist in the clean-up.  You will be sent a reminder postcard the week before your volunteered turn.  Again, thank you for your help!  If you have any questions, please give me a call.
