All Saints' Hosted
the Honduras Medical Mission
in 2004/2005

For over twenty years, people
representing the
Episcopal Church in
Mississippi
have been going to Honduras
to work with the local people in two
villages to
improve medical, dental
and veterinary health in the area. We need
your prayers
for the continued efforts of the Honduras Mission in the years to come.
The Honduras medical mission returned triumphantly on Saturday, February 12, 2005. Forty-seven people from around Mississippi (ten of those from Tupelo) went to two villages for a week of medical, dental and veterinary care. Everyone worked long, hard hours and were rewarded with smiles and love from the Hondurans. We had shipped tons of medicines and supplies and ran out of nearly everything. Your pencils, toothbrushes and soap were sought after and appreciated. As a member of the team so eloquently put it...
“We are called to do the work that stands at the core of Christ’s teaching, in both his words and actions, during his ministry on earth. We are called to serve. As Paul described so eloquently 2000 years ago, “Faith, Hope and Love abide. And the greatest of these is love.” Honduras offers the opportunity to express the purest form of.... Christian love … and no matter how much we give; we get far more in return.”
Jim and I thank each and every one of you for your help with this most worthy mission and for all of your prayers and support. We could not have pulled it all together without you. You too, have expressed your Christian love to the people of San Joaquín and Concepción del Norte.
