Every once in a while we receive a moment
of grace and good news that picks us up and lets us know that we are headed
in the right direction. This week I received an e-mail from a person that
visited our congregation and I wanted to share this with the entire
congregation.
Rev. Rutenbar,
My name is Robert Farley and my wife and I visited All Saints’ for the first
time on Sunday. We are members of St. Peter’s in Oxford. I just wanted to
let you know how extremely impressed we were with your service. It was
absolutely beautiful. Each Episcopal church has its own unique style and we
were so touched by how spiritual and uplifting the service was. Your sermon
was so powerful and deeply touched my wife and myself. This was only the 3rd
Episcopal church we have been to, the others being St. Peter’s and the
Cathedral in Jackson. I just wanted to thank you and your congregation for
making us feel welcome.
God bless,
Robert Farley
We are constantly struggling to get the good news of Christ out to those who
are willing to listen. Because we care so much about this we continue to
look for better ways to communicate and serve those who come on Sunday
morning. So often we do not know the affect of our ministry. Thanks to
Robert Farley we know that we have had a small affect on one part of the
world. It encourages us to continue our effort, welcoming, speaking and
praying for all who come into our church and facility.
