Update
Expressing a desire to return to their
Methodist roots, Jo and Ben Orr have accepted employment as choir director
and organist, respectively, at First United Methodist Church in Ripley,
Mississippi. Their last Sunday at All Saints’ will be December 27th.
On behalf of the entire congregation, I wish to sincerely thank Jo and Ben
for their work with the choir at All Saints’. During their brief tenure of
directing the choir, playing the organ and being available for and
participating in special musical events and programming, they have continued
and sought to enhance the tradition of excellence in music that has long
existed at All Saints’. I thank both of them for offering their considerable
gifts and talents with us and for their many contributions to our common and
liturgical life.
The search for a Director of Music and Organist (or combination thereof) has
already begun. If you know of persons who may be qualified to serve in
either (or both) of these positions, please let me know.
